Blake Thornton

Blake Thornton, MHA, FACHE, CPHQ, CPPS is a healthcare executive and rural health leader with extensive experience in quality, patient safety, risk management, regulatory compliance, and organizational improvement. As Director of Quality and Risk Management at Pinckneyville Community Hospital, Blake has helped advance patient safety, quality outcomes, regulatory readiness, and the patient experience within a critical access hospital environment.

A Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives, Blake is passionate about strengthening rural healthcare through innovative leadership, operational improvement, and expanded access to high-quality care. His leadership has been recognized with the Illinois Critical Access Hospital Network’s 4 Under 40 Award and the Illinois Society of Healthcare Risk Management’s Risk Manager of the Year Award. He also serves in healthcare leadership and community roles focused on advancing quality, safety, and organizational effectiveness.
